At a glance

  • Audika is a specialist hearing care provider. Hidden Hearing and Amplifon UK came together under the Audika name in July 2026.

  • It is part of Demant, a global hearing healthcare group, with more than 300 local clinics across the UK.

  • Services include free hearing tests, hearing aid fitting, maintenance and aftercare. Ear wax removal is also available for a charge.

  • Payment plans can spread the cost, including interest-free options, subject to eligibility and terms.

  • Customer feedback is largely positive, although some reviewers raise concerns about prices and pressure to upgrade.

What is Audika?

Audika provides private hearing care through a nationwide clinic network. Its services focus entirely on hearing, rather than combining hearing care with optical or pharmacy services.

The Hidden Hearing rebrand took effect on 1 July 2026, when Hidden Hearing and Amplifon UK came together as Audika. The business is part of Demant, which also has hearing aid manufacturing interests.

For existing customers, Audika says appointments, hearing aid support and existing warranties and aftercare arrangements continue. Most customers should still see the same clinical team, although some clinics are relocating. Older signage may remain during the transition.

Services offered

Audika offers free hearing tests to assess your hearing and discuss suitable next steps. If hearing aids are recommended, the appointment provides an opportunity to explain your everyday listening difficulties and budget before choosing a device.

Its other services include:

  • Ear wax removal: A separately charged service, with advertised prices starting at £50 per appointment. Check the cost and availability at your clinic.

  • Hearing aid fitting and adjustments: Devices are fitted and fine-tuned to suit your hearing and comfort.

  • Maintenance and aftercare: Audika advertises free servicing for the lifetime of the hearing aid, subject to terms, plus annual hearing tests.

  • Support with using your devices: Follow-up appointments can help with adjustments and questions as you get used to wearing hearing aids.

The aftercare package includes a 24-month hearing aid warranty, a 60-day money-back guarantee and free batteries for three years.

Audika offers flexible ways to spread the cost of hearing aids, including interest-free credit, subject to eligibility and terms. This may appeal if you prefer monthly payments to paying upfront. Compare the total cost, as some plans charge interest and lender fees may apply.

Hearing aid brands and technology

Audika's UK brands and models page features Oticon, Bernafon and Starkey. This multi-brand range gives you a choice of hearing aid styles and technology, rather than limiting you to one manufacturer.

Depending on the model, features include:

  • Rechargeable batteries to avoid regularly replacing disposable ones.

  • Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio from compatible devices.

  • Discreet designs, including in-ear and behind-the-ear options.

  • Advanced sound processing to help you follow speech in background noise.

  • Tinnitus relief sounds to help manage ringing or buzzing in the ears.

Ask which brands your clinic can supply and why a particular model is being recommended. The right Audika hearing aids should suit your hearing test results and the situations where you struggle to hear. Trying them in everyday settings can be more useful than choosing by brand name alone.

Pricing and payment options

Private hearing aids in the UK can cost roughly £500–£6,500 a pair, with some premium options costing more. This is a broad market guide, rather than an Audika price list. Which? reports that private buyers pay about £2,850 on average for a pair.

Audika prices depend on the model and features recommended after your hearing assessment. Its main pricing page describes technology levels without publishing a complete price list, so you will need a personalised quote.

Audika offers finance over 12–36 months, including 0% interest-free credit and interest-bearing credit. Credit is subject to status and affordability. Lender fees may apply, so do not assume every plan is fee-free.

Before agreeing, ask for a detailed written quote showing:

  • The exact model and technology level, and whether the price covers one hearing aid or two.

  • Details of the fitting, aftercare, warranty and accessories included.

  • Any deposit, interest, fees and total amount payable.

  • The money-back guarantee conditions.

Compare equivalent packages from another provider. A lower monthly payment may reflect a longer repayment period rather than a lower purchase price.

Some customer reviews describe Hidden Hearing as more expensive than alternatives. Which?'s 2025 survey also found a higher average spend at Hidden Hearing than at Boots Hearingcare or Specsavers. These figures predate the Audika rebrand and do not establish what your current quote will be.

Customer reviews and reputation

The UK Audika Trustpilot profile showed an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 across its clinic network when checked on 30 September 2026, placing it in Trustpilot’s Excellent category.

Positive Audika reviews commonly mention staff expertise and thorough hearing tests. Customers also praise personalised care and support with existing hearing aids.

Less positive feedback includes concerns about cost and, in some cases, feeling encouraged to buy new devices rather than repair existing ones. Some clinic reviewers report finding lower quotes elsewhere.

Trustpilot notes that Audika's profile includes merged reviews. Its score therefore covers experiences carried over from earlier profiles, rather than only appointments since the July rebrand.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Specialist focus: Hearing care is Audika's sole service area.

  • Wide network: More than 300 local clinics are advertised, with home visits subject to availability.

  • Ongoing support: Benefits include lifetime device servicing, subject to terms, and annual hearing tests.

  • Flexible payments: Interest-free credit is among the available finance options.

Cons

  • Limited online price transparency: A consultation is needed for a personalised hearing aid quote.

  • Cost concerns: Some reviewers report higher quotes than elsewhere.

  • Upgrade concerns: Some feedback describes perceived pressure to replace existing devices.

  • Finance conditions: Not every payment option is interest-free, and lender fees may apply.

How Audika compares to Boots Hearingcare and Specsavers

When considering Audika vs Boots Hearingcare or Audika vs Specsavers, compare the local service and complete package.

Provider

Main points to consider

Audika

  • Dedicated hearing care clinics

  • Published brands include Oticon, Bernafon and Starkey

  • Individual hearing aid quotes after assessment

Boots Hearingcare

  • In-store appointments

  • Multiple brands, including Phonak, AudioNova and Starkey

  • Transparent pricing

Specsavers

  • Own-brand Advance range alongside branded options

  • Private packages from £500 per pair

  • NHS-funded services for eligible patients in participating areas.

Boots Hearingcare is also a multi-brand provider. Its high-street hearing centres offer a convenient alternative to Audika’s dedicated audiology clinics. Specsavers may appeal if you want a clearly priced entry-level package. Its NHS route depends on local service availability and eligibility.

Audika may suit someone who prefers a dedicated audiology clinic and values its aftercare arrangements. However, both rivals also provide specialist audiologists and ongoing support. Compare warranties and trial periods alongside price.

Conclusion

Audika is worth considering if you want a dedicated hearing care provider with a wide clinic network and ongoing support after your hearing aids are fitted. Its free hearing test lets you discuss suitable devices before deciding whether to buy.

Positive feedback about staff and personalised care is encouraging, but pricing and upgrade concerns make comparison worthwhile. Get a written quote and check which features you need before committing. Your local audiologist, the package offered and your budget matter more than the provider's name alone.
