Switching Accounts

Switching bank accounts is not top of everyone’s list of things to do but it is pretty straightforward and can be very rewarding.  It’s a good way of taking control of your finances and saving money.

Most of us have current accounts with the same bank we have been with for years, yet we shop around for other things so why not bank accounts? Isn’t it time for a change?

Are we put off by the thought of all the hassle, believing the process will be time consuming and problematic?  At the end of the day our lives are busy enough without having to sort out additional banking problems.

Well, we’ve got good news for you!  Switching accounts is fairly painless because the bank does everything for you.  They transfer all your direct debits and standing orders automatically; the switch usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks to ensure all your payments have gone through and your new bank account will overlap with your existing one until the process is completed.

All you need to do is tell your employer or anyone who is paying money into your account. So what are you waiting for!
