Opening a Bank Account

Opening a bank account is easy provided that you have done your home work and have all the information to hand.  It’s up to you whether you prefer to brave the queues at your local bank or set the account up online.

You need to think about your needs and choose the type of bank account that best suits your requirements.  For example, are you looking for an account that offers the best rate of interest or perhaps one that has additional benefits such as mobile phone or travel insurance?

Anyone opening an account will need to be at least 16 years of age and have proof of address and identification.  If you do choose to set your account up online, you will still be required to send these documents proving your identity to the bank.
