How to Switch Energy Supplier

Switching energy suppliers doesn’t have to be a daunting task. You still get your gas and electricity through the same pipes and cables, there is no physical change.  It is just the company who bills you based on your chosen tariff that will change.

So how do you switch energy supplier?

All you need is the following information:

  • The name of the tariff you are currently on
(if you don’t know, check with your existing supplier
  • The amount you have spent over the last year
  • Your current method of payment
  • Your postcode

Once you have this to hand, simply use an accredited energy comparison site to compare and switching energy supplier becomes easy.  An accredited website is one that has signed up to the Ofgem (the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets – basically the energy regulator) Confidence Code which is a code of practice that governs energy supplier comparison sites.

Through our partnership with TheEnergyShop.com, who were the first energy price comparison service to be accredited, we are able to give you access to all of the residential energy suppliers in the UK.

To compare and switch energy supplier just click on the ‘get a quote’ button, answer a few questions and we’ll do the rest.  It’s as easy as that!
