By continuing to find you the best energy deals and switch you automatically, they ensure you never pay too much for your energy by being moved to a standard energy tariff.
The Look After My Bills Dragons Den presentation
The Look After My Bills Dragons Den presentation in 2018 saw the duo walk away with a record deal. With all dragons wanting to invest, Will and Henry secured £120,000 for a 3% share of the business and two Dragons, namely Jenny Campbell and Tej Lalvani.
As a result of the company’s sale to Go Compare for £12.5 million, both Dragons Den investors have already more than doubled their investment.
How does Look After My Bills work?
Look After My Bills is an to use easy free auto switching energy service. To sign up you need your email address, address, latest energy bill and direct debit details. They will then work out the best energy deal and automatically switch your energy supplier.
Before switching, they will email details of the best deal to you. You then have 14 days to review the offer before they switch your energy supplier for you.
The switch to your new energy supplier should take about 21 days. All you need to do is inform your new supplier of your meter reading when asked. Look after my bills will handle everything else.
Within 6 weeks you will receive a final bill from your old supplier and your first bill from your new energy company. Both companies use the same information so you will never be charged twice for the energy you use.
Your account is reviewed either every 3 months if you’re on a variable tariff, or annually if your energy tariff is fixed. If they can save you £50 or more on your energy, or £15 if using a prepayment meter, the auto-switch service will automatically switch your energy supplier again.
What is Look After My Bills list of energy suppliers?
Look After My Bills only use energy companies they trust. Their service is based on price and quality, drawn from their experience and ratings from independent organisations like the Citizens Advice Bureau. This includes companies like British Gas, Scottish Power, iSupply, Green Star Energy, People’s Energy Company and Utility Point.
So, if an energy company is cheap but provides poor customer service, the auto-switch company will not use them. The best deal for their members will always be based on both price and quality of customer service.
Who can use their service?
You can use Look After My Bills if you’re a domestic energy customer with duel fuel or electricity. You should have either a standard electricity meter, prepayment meter or economy 7 and be comfortable paying your energy bills by direct debit.
You will also need access to the internet as this is an online service. This means instead of getting bills in the post, everything will be managed online.
Having said that, if you prefer to speak to someone, they do provide telephone support.
How do they make money?
The service is free for members to use. They make their money through commission paid by the energy companies they use. The commission charged is the same across all their energy suppliers which means there will never be any bias when choosing the best energy deal.
Is Look After My Bills any good?
Look After My Bills could be a good idea if want to save money on your energy bills but don’t regularly compare tariffs and switch suppliers. However, it may not be a good idea if you prefer to scour the market looking for the cheapest energy deal available.

How do I cancel Look After My Bills?
You can cancel the Look After My Bills service at any time by email. This will not cancel your account with your energy supplier; just your membership with the auto-switching service.
Alternatively, if you are not happy with the energy deal proposed, just let them know within the 14 day review period to stop the switch going ahead.
