In the driving seat with the Internet
Aug 13, 2013
Apologies for the later than usual blog this week but I have just got back to Cornwall having spent a long weekend in Gloucester organising the Cancer Research fun run event, Race4MenGlos. First of all I would like to thank everyone who ran, attended, donated and of course those who helped organise the event. It was an amazing day. The weather was perfect, dry but not too hot and we had more runners than expected which was fantastic; to be precise 140% more runners than the previous year. It would be great if we could maintain this momentum and make the men’s event as big and well known as the ladies’ Race for Life.
I must admit it does feel a bit odd now that’s it all over and I will certainly have more free time to devote to the website so I can start putting more of my plans in place. This week as well as doing a press release on health insurance, I am starting to work on a series of videos explaining some of the products mentioned on our websites including Prepaid Funeral Plans and Over 50s Life Insurance. I will of course continue writing blogs so visitors to our site will have the option to read or listen to product reviews. As ever it’s all about ‘choice’.
I am also in the final stages of completing an article on Insurance for the Over 50s. It’s made me realise what a mine field it all is. Car Insurance, Home Insurance, travel, life, pet insurance are all affected in different ways by age. It got me thinking just how much the internet has changed our lives and helped us as consumers! The fact that we now have the chance to read reviews and shop around really can put us in the driving seat if we use the information wisely. And some of the best deals are available online too. Naturally I will be sharing my views with you in the coming weeks so watch this space.
