Bring me Sunshine, Please!

Week 2 in the Over50choices House (no I’m not watching Big Brother... honestly) and things have been pretty busy. It’s great to finally be speaking to journalists and agencies about the company, our website and of course our views on the importance of funeral planning; and to see one of our articles in ‘This is Money’ was a real highlight.
We are also in the final stages of completing our sections on annuities and equity release, which will added to the website shortly. I am particularly excited about annuities as I believe this is something people should be shouting about. How many people are aware they could get more money from their pension income simply by choosing the right annuity? Not enough I say. All it takes is a bit of planning beforehand and not falling into the trap of assuming that the pension offered is your only choice.
On a personal level I have also been busy helping to plan the forthcoming Race4MenGlos Cancer Research event, due to be held in Gloucester on the 11th August. Not long to go now so we need to get as many people signed up to the event as possible. Running 5k for such an important cause as Cancer Research is not too much to ask is it men and boys of Gloucestershire?
In fact we have a weekend of activity lined up. On Saturday we will have a stand in the centre of Gloucester to promote the event and then on Sunday, we will be at the women’s event Race for Life to ‘cheer on the girls’ and get a few more names added to our list. The only thing that could quite literally rain on our parade is the weather, the forecast is not good.
